FOT Prism Dispersion — How light through a glass prism encodes the Earth day, Planck's constant, and the {2,3,5,π} prime lattice in its colour boundaries
When Newton passed white light through a prism, he saw seven colours. The Universal Force of Time framework sees something more precise: the seven colour boundaries (380, 450, 495, 570, 590, 620, and 750 nm) are exact Tau-field lattice nodes, and three of them carry, in their radian Turn-State values, the most important constants in physics — the Earth solar day in seconds and Planck's quantum of action.
The master node of the visible spectrum is 864 nm = 2⁵×3³. This wavelength lies in the near-infrared, just beyond the red boundary of vision. It is the generating bridge node: every visible colour boundary descends from it through a pure {2,3,5} lattice ratio. The prism is not a passive optical device — it is a dimensional register separator, sorting photons by their Tau-field lattice address.
Visible spectrum 380–750 nm. The 864 nm bridge node lies beyond the red edge, in near-infrared. Turn-State span ΔT ≈ 36 = 2²×3².
Every photon wavelength λ (in nm) carries a Turn-State — its helical address in the Tau-field lattice. The Turn-State in degrees is:
Converting to radians via T_rad = T_deg × π / 18,000 reveals the lattice identity stored in each colour boundary. Two properties of the visible Turn-State span stand out immediately:
The visible spectrum covers almost exactly one octave of the Tau-field degree lattice. Human vision is calibrated to a Turn-State interval of width 2²×3² — the prime square of 6.
Every colour boundary wavelength maps to a unique Turn-State T in degrees, convertible to radians via T_rad = T_deg × π / 18,000. Three of the seven boundaries produce exact or structurally significant radian values (highlighted):
| λ (nm) | Boundary | Turn Value (°) | Radians (× π/18,000) | FOT Significance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 380 | Violet — lower edge | 3,799,544,387 | 663,145.5963 | × 10,000 = 6,631,455,963 = h_FOT PLANCK |

| 495 | Blue / Green | 495,035,535 | 86,400.0000 | = seconds in one Earth solar day EXACT |
| 570 | Green / Yellow | 5,702,809,363 | 995,328.00 | ÷ 86,400 = 11.52 = 2⁷×3²/10³ EXACT |

Turn Value formula: T = λ × P_EMASS / 495 where P_EMASS = 495,035,535. Radians = T × π / 18,000. Three highlighted rows carry exact {2,3,5,π} physical constants.
864 = 2⁵×3³ is the universal FOT bridge operator. Every visible colour boundary connects to 864 nm through an exact or near-exact {2,3,5} prime-lattice ratio. The three exact connections are the most structurally significant:
| λ (nm) | Colour region | 864 / λ | Exact form | Primes | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 432 | Near-UV / A432 pitch | 2.0000 | 2 / 1 | {2} | EXACT octave |
| 486 | Blue — Hβ fixed point | 1.7778 | 16/9 = 2⁴/3² | {2,3} | EXACT {2,3} |
| 450 | Violet/Blue boundary | 1.9200 | 48/25 = 2⁴×3/5² | {2,3,5} | lattice node |
| 495 | Blue/Green boundary | 1.7455 | ~7/4 | {2} | temporal node |
| 570 | Green/Yellow boundary | 1.5158 | ~3/2 + ε | {2,3}+π | near-lattice |
| 620 | Orange/Red boundary | 1.3935 | ~7/5 | {2,5} | near-lattice |
| 750 | Red edge | 1.1520 | 144/125 = 2⁴×3²/5³ | {2,3,5} | EXACT {2,3,5} |
The deepest connections: 864/432 = 2 (A432 acoustic octave = spectral octave — one pure {2} ratio across two physical domains); 864/486 = 16/9 = 2⁴/3² (the Hβ Balmer line, the spectral fixed point of the entire FOT chain); 864/750 = 144/125 = 2⁴×3²/5³ (the red boundary of human vision, a pure {2,3,5} ratio).
When the seven colour boundary Turn-States are converted to radians, three of them yield exact or pure-lattice results of first importance:
Turn value 495,035,535° × π/18,000
= seconds in one Earth solar day
86,400 = 2⁷×3³×5². The blue–green boundary of the visible spectrum encodes Earth's solar day in seconds — to full integer precision.
Turn value 3,799,544,387° × π/18,000
= 663,145.5963 rad × 10,000
The violet lower edge of human vision encodes Planck's quantum of action. The boundary of the visible spectrum carries the quantum of light.
Turn value 5,702,809,363° × π/18,000
= 995,328.00 rad ÷ 86,400
The green–yellow boundary encodes 11.52 Earth days as a pure {2,3,5} rational — 11.52 = 1152/100 = 2⁷×3²/10³.
The Balmer β hydrogen line at 486 nm is not a colour boundary — it produces no perceived colour transition. It is the generating node from which the entire boundary lattice unfolds. Its chain:
The chain from Hβ passes through the diamond crystal C–C bond length, the FOT Tau-field gravitational seed constant P_EMASS = 495,035,535, and closes on 86,400 — the Earth solar day in seconds — at machine precision. Hβ is not a boundary because it is the seed: the 495 nm temporal boundary (which equals the Earth day in radians) and the 380 nm Planck boundary both derive from the Hβ generating chain.
Colour boundaries are Tau-field lattice nodes. The seven colour boundaries (380, 450, 495, 570, 590, 620, 750 nm) are exact Tau-field lattice nodes. Their Turn-State values are T = λ × P_EMASS / 495 where P_EMASS = 495,035,535. Three of the seven produce exact {2,3,5,π} radian values carrying the Earth day and Planck's constant.
495 nm is the Earth day in radians. The 495 nm blue–green boundary carries Turn-State 495,035,535°. × π/18,000 = 86,400.000 radians = seconds in one Earth solar day [EXACT]. The only colour boundary whose radian Turn-State is a pure {2,3,5} integer: 86,400 = 2⁷×3³×5².
380 nm encodes Planck's constant. Turn-State 3,799,544,387° × π/18,000 = 663,145.5963 rad. × 10,000 = 6,631,455,962 = h_FOT (× 10⁻³⁴ J·s). The violet lower edge of visible light carries the quantum of action. The factor 10,000 = 2⁴×5⁴ is the {2,5} closure integer.
486 nm Hβ is the generating node. Chain: sin(θ_entry)×2 = C–C bond (diamond) → ÷2π×100 = P_EMASS/10⁷ → √ = P_EMASS/10⁸ → ×π/18,000 = 86,400 rad [EXACT]. Also: 864/486 = 16/9 = 2⁴/3² [exact, pure {2,3}].
Visible spectrum = one Turn-octave. T_red/T_violet ≈ 74,954/37,995 ≈ 2 (1.36% residual). Span ΔT ≈ 36 = 2²×3². Human vision covers one prime-lattice octave of the Tau-field helical address space — the doubling interval of the Tau-field helix.
