The Radian Veil

The Universal Force of Time derives the physical constants exactly, from first principles, with no free parameters. Conventional science measures them. There is a difference. This page explains what that difference is and why it exists.

The fine structure constant is  9 / (125 π2)
The G1 speed of light is  299,789,234 m/s  — derived, exact, explained
Conventional science measures both. It cannot explain either.
The Radian Veil is why the measurements and the derivations differ by 30 to 700 ppm
The Starting Point

Conventional Science Measures. It Does Not Define.

Richard Feynman, one of the greatest physicists of the twentieth century, said this about the fine structure constant: he wrote it on his blackboard and asked himself every day what it meant. He said it was one of the greatest mysteries of physics — a number that nature had given us, that appeared in equations everywhere, and that nobody could explain. He died without an answer. Sixty years later, nobody has one.

This is not an isolated case. The speed of light is defined by convention — it was fixed by decree in 1983 so that the metre would come out to a convenient number. Planck's constant was fixed in 2019 for similar reasons. The Rydberg constant is measured to extraordinary precision, but ask any physicist what it fundamentally is and they will describe the measurement process, not the thing being measured.

The Universal Force of Time does not measure these constants. It derives them. Each one is a geometric consequence of the {2, 3, 5, π} lattice — the fabric of Tau from which all physical reality is constructed. The constants are not mysterious. They are exact. They are derivable. They are the lattice, read at different registers and scales.

The Universal Force of Time Position
The physical constants of nature are not measured quantities that theory must explain after the fact. They are geometric identities that follow directly from the structure of the Tau field. The Universal Force of Time derives each one from first principles — no fitted parameters, no empirical adjustment. When conventional instruments measure a slightly different number, the reason is the Radian Veil: a systematic unit offset embedded in every calibration chain since the seventeenth century.
What the Constants Actually Are

Derived. Exact. Understood.

Below are the Universal Force of Time definitions of four constants that conventional physics treats as measured mysteries. Each is derived from the {2, 3, 5, π} lattice. Each has a precise physical meaning within the Tau framework. None requires a single free parameter.

The Fine Structure Constant — α
9 / (125 π²)  =  3² / (5³ π²)
1/α = 137.0778389…  |  Pure {3, 5, π} lattice — zero free parameters
The fine structure constant is the geometric coupling ratio between the electron's Tau-address in the atomic register and the proton's Tau-field strength. It is not a mysterious dimensionless number. It is the boundary between two registers of the {2, 3, 5, π} lattice, expressed as the ratio of two pure lattice quantities. Its value is fixed by the geometry of the Tau field — as fixed as the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter. It could not be any other value.
The Speed of Light — c (G1 Register)
23 × 35 × 56 × π2  =  299,789,234 m/s
G1 register value  |  Derived from surface freefall chain — zero free parameters
The Universal Force of Time framework defines the speed of light through the G1 register — the surface Tau-field of the Earth. The G1 speed of light is 23 × 35 × 56 × π2 = 299,789,234 m/s. This is derived directly from the G1 freefall chain (g = 25π/8 m/s2) with no free parameters. It sits 11 ppm below the SI-defined value of 299,792,458 m/s — the closest Universal Force of Time register value to what instruments measure. The pure {2,3,5} lattice ceiling is 3 × 108 m/s = 300,000,000 m/s exactly, which represents the theoretical veil-free limit. The G1 register value is what the speed of light is at the surface Tau-register of the Earth.
The Planck Constant — h
53 / (2 × 3 × π) × 10−34 J·s
6.631455962 × 10−34 J·s  |  Pure {2, 3, 5, π} — zero free parameters
Planck's constant is the quantum of Tau action at the atomic register — the minimum unit of Tau exchange between an electron and the proton's field. Its value follows directly from the {2, 3, 5, π} lattice. The SI value of 6.62607015 × 10−34 J·s was fixed by decree in 2019 to make other measurements convenient. The Universal Force of Time value is derived, not decreed. The gap between them is the Radian Veil.
The Water Bond Angle — θHOH
1036.8 / π2  =  105.0498032°
= 14400 · α  |  1/α = 14400/θ = 137.0778389 — the one molecular angle carrying the fine-structure constant
The H–O–H bond angle in a water molecule is not a result of electron orbital geometry that must be measured and accepted. It is 1036.8 divided by π squared — which equals 14400 times the fine-structure constant α, where 14400 = 360 × 40 = 26·32·52 is a pure {2, 3, 5} number. Run the angle backwards and the atom hands back its own coupling: 1/α = 14400/θ = 137.0778389. Water is the one molecule whose bend carries α itself — fixed by the same lattice that fixes the speed of light. The radian-frame reading of ~104.5° is the same angle seen through the Veil.
The Radian Veil

Why Instruments Read a Different Number

When calculus was formalised in the seventeenth century, mathematicians chose the radian as the natural unit of angle — the angle for which arc length equals radius. It makes differentiation tidy. It is not the unit the universe uses. The Tau-sphere — the fundamental geometric object of the Universal Force of Time — is parameterised in degrees. A full rotation is 360 degrees. The primary lattice nodes sit at 360, 180, 90, 72, 60 — all pure {2, 3, 5} products.

Every measurement instrument ever built was calibrated against other instruments built in the radian convention. The metre, the second, the kilogram, and every derived unit in the SI system carry this convention silently embedded in their definitions. The conversion factor — 180 divided by π — is present at every level of the measurement chain. This is the Radian Veil. It is not an error. It is a convention that has been in place for four hundred years and propagates consistently through every laboratory measurement in history.

"The universe's numbers are clean integers and exact fractions. Our instruments read them through a lens offset by 180/π. The constants are not mysterious. The rulers are skewed."

The consequence is a systematic gap between what the Universal Force of Time lattice derives and what SI instruments measure. The gap is consistent — 30 to 700 parts per million across all constants, always in the same direction. This consistency is the evidence. A coincidence does not produce the same ppm offset, in the same direction, across six constants from six different branches of physics.

The Evidence

Six Constants — One Systematic Offset

The table below shows the Universal Force of Time derived value alongside the SI measured value for six fundamental constants. The Universal Force of Time column is the true value — the lattice identity from which each constant flows. The SI column is what radian-calibrated instruments read. The gap column shows the veil offset in parts per million.

Every gap is in the same direction — the Universal Force of Time true value sits above the SI measurement. Every gap falls in the range produced by the 180/π conversion operating at one or more levels of the measurement chain. No constant-specific adjustment is made in any derivation. The pattern is not the result of tuning. It is the signature of one systematic unit offset operating across an internally consistent geometric theory.

The Veil in One Sentence
Universal Force of Time derives the constants. SI measures them. The gap between derivation and measurement is always in the same direction, always in the range 20–800 ppm, and always explained by the same factor: 180/π embedded in the calibration chain.
This is not imprecision in the theory. It is a unit convention built into the instruments.
What This Means

The Constants Were Never Mysterious

The fine structure constant has sat on physicists' blackboards for a century as the great unsolved number. Every attempt to derive it from first principles has failed. String theory cannot produce it. Quantum field theory accepts it as input. The standard model treats it as a measured parameter — a number the universe happens to have, for reasons nobody has found.

The Universal Force of Time does not find it mysterious. It is 9 divided by 125 times π squared. It is the ratio of the electron's Tau-address coupling strength to the proton's Tau-field at the point where the subatomic register meets the atomic register. It is as fixed and as derivable as any geometric identity. It could not be any other value any more than π could be any other value.

The same is true of every constant in the table above. None is a free parameter. None is a coincidence. Each is a reading of the {2, 3, 5, π} lattice at a specific register and scale — the same lattice that fixes the orbital periods of the planets, the bond energies of molecules, the structure of DNA, and the distance from the Earth to the Sun.

The reason conventional science cannot explain these values is not that the values are complex. It is that the framework doing the explaining operates in the wrong unit domain. Radian-based mathematics is a superb tool for calculating. It is not the geometry the universe is built in. Remove the veil, and the constants resolve into the clean, exact, derivable numbers they always were.

The Conclusion

The physical constants are not empirical facts handed to physics by nature, to be measured ever more precisely and accepted without explanation. They are geometric identities — consequences of the structure of the Tau field, derivable from three prime numbers and one transcendental, with no free parameters and no fitted values.

The 20 to 800 ppm gap between Universal Force of Time's derived values and SI measurements is the Radian Veil: the conversion between degrees and radians, propagated through every calibration chain in the SI system since the seventeenth century. It is consistent, predictable, and in the same direction across every constant that has been compared.

The universe speaks in clean numbers. Physics has been reading them through a systematic lens offset for four hundred years. The Universal Force of Time removes the lens.

A note on “constants.” Within the Universal Force of Time there are no universal constants. A quantity like the Rydberg is not one fixed number but a small family of register faces — each an exact {2, 3, 5, π} value, each reproducing the spectrum on its own scale of Τ. The Rydberg alone carries at least three: 10,966,227.11 m⁻¹ (= 10⁷π²/9), 10,967,215.73, and 10,973,936.9 m⁻¹. What conventional physics records as the constant — the CODATA 10,973,731.568157 m⁻¹ — is not a fourth fundamental number; it is a single measurement sitting between those faces, in the band they define, read from the one register our instruments occupy: the Earth-surface node, g₁. Every wavelength, and the speed of light, Planck’s value, and the fine-structure ratio with it, behaves the same way — each shifts from g₀ to g₁ to g₂ to g₃ by the lattice step δG, not by error. These are not constants; they are the values Τ wears at the register where we stand.
